A total of 15,174 deaths are attributed to this disease since its appearance in America for ten months.
In Europe, HIV transmission continues AH1N1 "in a very limited number of countries," while the rest of the continent influenza virus activity remains low, according to the organization's weekly report on the evolution of the pandemic.
The WHO reaffirmed that the pandemic virus circulates predominantly and has shifted largely to the known strains of seasonal influenza.
